Razvan Chelu

"I knew wood since childhood, when I spent a lot of time in my father's workshop, among stacks of lumber and the smell of sawdust, and I imagined how each piece of wood tells a different story, through each knot," says Razvan Chelu, the young man behind this beautiful brand.
He graduated Faculty of Architecture, and in the 4th year of his studies he had the opportunity to live in Lisbon for a period of time. Walking through the streets of the city, he discovered in a window shop a bag made of pieces of mirror that reflected the wooden shelf on which it was placed. Seeing the texture of the wood on the surface of the bag, the idea for Lemnia came to him. Thus, at the beginning of 2014, he embarked on a beautiful adventure with his father, Florin, managing to combine his passion for design with the love for the art of woodworking, to create unique, surprising bags that tell stories about wandering around the world , as well as about the return to the essence of some forgotten Romanian traditions.
Today, a Lemnia bag is on display at the Bag Museum in Amsterdam, the largest of its kind in the world.
