"I discovered with joy and nostalgia, in the apartment where I grew up, a suitcase with rags. They were from the village where my father grew up, well kept by my mother. I started playing thinking of childhood, at my grandparents' house and so, with old fragments of stitches and cramps of memories, my hands created what my heart told me… Transylvanian old forgotten rugs, wool, silk, cotton and wood, sprinkled here and there with foamy laces gathered together and I created the collection "c u l c u ș".
Each object has its own story - it carries with it the memories over years of the materials from which it is made, but also precious shadows from modern times. " says Catalina Nistorescu, the person behind c u l c u ș.
